How do I change the status of a volunteer from absent to checked-in?
Volunteers who may not have checked-in during an event may be shown as "absent" in the status column when viewing event registrations. Admins can manually mark these volunteers as "checked-in" after an event.
When viewing registrations for an event, you may notice some volunteers have a status of "absent" like the below screenshot shows:
If that volunteer did show up but did not check-in or log their time elsewhere, you can manually change the status to "Checked-in" by selecting the volunteer(s) using the check-box next to their name. Then click on the 3-dot menu and select "Mark as Checked-in".
Please note this will immediately create an activity log entry giving the selected volunteer the number of volunteer hours that shift was scheduled for.
Note: Some volunteers may already have logged their hours but still show up as "Absent." Please check the activity log to see if the volunteer already has hours. Examples of how this may have include an organization using a kiosk for check-in that is not tied to the specific event or a volunteer using "log other hours" on the mobile app instead of checking-in to the event.
